Welcome to Carleton Place in the Winter

Lights on Bridge St,Carleton Place

There are five thousand ways to say welcome, during festive days in December..When we returned, this winter, it was to find an array of lights so dazzling that we nearly drove off the bridge over the Mississippi River!
If you are visiting Carleton Place from Highway 22, be sure to slow down as you approach the centre of town, on its main street, Bridge Street.
Not only will you better appreciate the town hall and its finery, but you will, indeed, be rewarded with an extravaganza that is a visual delight on those dark and cold days!
The main streets' lanterns are decorated with pine and twinkle lights. All of the streets' amazing trees glow with lights, too. Family porches elsewhere, sport reindeer, lit trees and wreathes. Come and visit ! Lanark is generous this time of year . See Carleton Place in Lanark next December.
