Pointilliste Corm Northdays

corm

Wild looking, this corm became a symbol, to me, of 'The Root of Jesse', (historically, a grape root, mentioned in the Bible as a symbol of ancestral roots.) I used this for a Guelph illustration flyer, when I started a graphic illustration business which I called "Flags of Many Countries". Made in pointillisme, the work is built using many tiny dots usually inked on with a rapidograph, a controllable fine-tip fountain pen graphic artists used to use constantly.

Artist: Susan Risk (For 'Flags of many Countries') ink on paper , pointilliste style.
